Nutrient Control with the DrainMaster Drip Stand

Instructions for nutrient control with the DrainMaster
- Step 1: Wait until the substrate is almost dry (EBBE). You can see this by the fact that the pot becomes lighter.
- Step 2: Water the plant with water and fertilizer (e.g. with an EC value of 900µS) until the substrate is saturated and drainage water is collected in the collection tray (FLUT).
- Step 3: Pull out the collection tray and measure the conductivity in the drainage water with an EC value meter.
- Step 4: Evaluate the read measured value (e.g. setpoint: 2000µS). If the measured value is too high, reduce the fertilizer quantity for the next watering or, in case of strong deviations, flush with watering water without fertilizer (e.g. EC value 300µS). If the reading is too low, increase the amount of fertilizer slightly for the next watering.
- Step 5: Document the knowledge gained and wait for the next EBBE. Then start again at step 1.
