The pH value determines which nutrients the roots can take up at all. If it is off, even the best nutrient is useless: the nutrients are present, but not available to the plant.

Accessories without which no meter stays accurate

Calibration solutions at pH 4.01 and 7.00 as well as the 3M KCl storage solution. Every pH electrode drifts; stored dry, it is finished after a few weeks.

Measure in two places: in the nutrient solution before watering and in the runoff water from the DrainMaster. The latter shows what is actually happening in the root zone.
